Message of the President

The Perinatal Association of the Philippines (PAP) is the only Association in the Philippines with membership that is the conglomeration of Obstetricians, Pediatricians, Nurses and Midwives. This unique feature places PAP in a perfect position to achieve its goal of promoting maternal, fetal and neonatal well-being.

We have institutionalized the CME (Continuing Medical Education) Caravans all over the country to bring the PAP National Office to all our chapters to ensure training and updates of our members enabling them to deliver excellent health care. To further improve service to members, a PAP App has been launched this year (2019), whereby members can access informations and the Caravans of other chapters in real-time, thus, learn from each other's experiences. The PAP App may also serve as venue where members can directly communicate with each other and with the PAP officers and trustees to foster harmony and camaraderie among us. This is in addition to the already established PAP Website and FB Page which are open to the public for viewing.

PAP is an active member of the international organization FAOPS (Federation of Asia Oceana Perinatal Societies) and has recently successfully hosted the 2018 FAOPS Convention. Thus was also the year that past PAP President Dr. Socorro Mendoza was elected as FAOPS President.

With the huge and major strides going on in the health care delivery of our society with the passage of the Universal Health Care Law, rest assured that PAP will be an active participant beyond medical expertise. PAP will be proactive and dynamic and will be in the forefront in empowering our stakeholders. We will continue to keep the fire burning into the hearts of our members to pursue our COLLECTIVE COMMITMENT to SELFLESS SERVICE.
